The Board of Supervisors are reaching out to connect individuals that we feel bring a variety of interest of Clinton County History. We are hoping you will have an interest in creating different opportunities for Clinton County residents and visitors to Clinton County to get a great historical perspective of areas across Clinton County.
If you have others that you feel should be part of this conversation, please forward this to them.
The Clinton County Supervisors have designated money in our budget for incidentals associated with this task.
Ideas that have been discussed:
- Create a County Wide Display for the Iowa State Fair (per request of the Governor and Legislators)
- This display could then be sent around to the County libraries for display prior and after the State Fair.
- Signage with QR Codes that would allow visitors to download description of the site.
- Create trail along corridors in specific areas that may entice visitors to different areas in Clinton County.
- Create a link on the County website and social media platforms that also put out this same information
Supervisor Erin George (egeorge@clintoncounty-ia.gov) has taken on the responsibility for this organization for the Clinton County Supervisors.
