Lane closure on U.S. 30 between Wheatland and Calamus begins on Feb. 10

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Feb. 3, 2025 – If you travel on U.S. 30 between Wheatland and Calamus you should be aware of a lane closure that could slow down your trip, according to the Iowa DOT’s Davenport construction office.
Beginning on Monday, Feb. 10, until December 2025, weather permitting, crews will close one lane of U.S. 30 between Clinton County Road Y-4E/130th Ave. near Wheatland, and Clinton County Road Y-44/170th Ave. near Calamus, for the replacement of three bridges over the Wapsipinicon River.
Temporary traffic lights will assist you as you travel through the work zone. A height limit of 14-feet and a lane-width limit of 13-feet will be in effect. You should expect delays as you travel through the work zone.
The Iowa DOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, drivers should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
