The Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, management, disbursement, financial reporting, bonds and investment of all monies paid to the County and serves as agent for the State of Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa Department of Revenue and Finance.

About the Treasurer

Due to the upcoming construction to the administration building in Clinton, I have decided to provide more stability to the county residents by staffing DeWitt offices for the Treasury, Monday through Friday 8-4. I anticipate this change lasting through March of 2025.

The 3.8 million dollar remodel project is being funded by the American Rescue Plan as well as the Clinton County Tax Payer. There is approximately 3.35 million dollars of ARP funding budgeted for the project with the current $450,000 overage coming from county reserves. Any change orders throughout the project will also be paid for out of reserves that are funded by County Tax Payers. The degree of disruption to county offices will vary and it is my goal to provide a great customer experience before, during and after the construction is completed when a resident needs to transact with the Treasury.
